Skyline University College provides opportunity for its students to participate in various events. Many events are traditional annual events and some new events are organized on campus each year.

TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY is an annual event that honors the faculty, instructors or anybody who is involved in teaching on SUC campus. It gives students a chance to show gratitude to their teachers in a creative way.

INTROBASH has also become an annual tradition. It is organized to welcome freshman students to campus. The theme of the 3-hour party is determined by the Committee. The program includes student performances and games. The highlight of the event is the announcement of Mr. & Ms. Fresher. This party is always famous for its wonderful food and open dance.

GRADUATION CEREMONY is a prestigious degree awarding ceremony wherein high profile guests are invited. Apart from conferring degrees to graduating students, a flag march with the flags of various nationalities is performed by current students. The program also includes UAE National Anthem, President's speech, Quran recitation, speeches by selected graduating students, faculty and staff excellence awards, academic honors by the students, and awarding of degrees where each graduate walks the stage to receive a certificate and congratulations from the chief guest, President and the Dean.

UAE NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION is held in anticipation of the national holiday. This event is marked by rich decorations of the university building. The program may include student performances, especially Arabic poetry recitals, tasting of traditional foods, hanna painting, Youlla dance and decorated car contest and parade.

CROSSFIRE DEBATE COMPETITION is an inter-university debate competition organized uninterruptedly for the last 10 years. At least 8 to 10 universities are targeted to participate in this event. Two students / team can participate for and against the chosen topic. Each pair for and against the motion is given 3 minutes each to speak on the selected topic. After the pair finishes their speeches, they face the refutation round for 2 minutes. The sequence for and against the motion is drawn. For the Best Debating Team, individual points are given to each speaker and added to the team score.

VALENTINE'S DAY party is a fun event that allows students to show their talents in different performances, test their competitive spirit in games and enjoy socializing while eating and dancing. The culmination of the event is the selection of King and Queen of Hearts.

SKYLINE CARNIVAL is an annual prestigious inter-collegiate/inter-school competition. Several universities and high schools are always willing to compete in such categories as duet singing, western dance, eastern dance, fashion show and others. Skyline Carnival is also famous for its creative representation of different cultures that are displayed in ethnic stalls organized by Skyline students. The highlight of the show is usually a celebrity performance such as of JAL in 2012.

BIZFEST is a career/business related event. It is a combination of a career fair with business competition in marketing skills, knowledge of business trivia, job interviewing skills, and others.

APPRECIATION DAY & SENIORS' FAREWELL PARTY is an annual event being held as a gesture of appreciation for the students' contribution to Skyline. Students are awarded certificates for their academic achievement and extracurricular involvement. This is also a time to say good-bye to the graduating senior students. Activities on that day may include music, dance, skits, memory line video clips, games, dinner and open dance.

STUDENT PICNIC is a trip that gives students a chance to socialize outside of university walls. The destinations of the past were Desert Safari and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Every year a new destination is chosen through students' survey and voting.

ALUMNI MEET/ALUMNI BUSINESS MEET is aimed at bringing our alumni together to share memories and joys of their old friends and faculty members. In the format of a business meeting, this event provides an opportunity for networking with each other and other business professionals. The event may consist of an array of entertainment activities or it may have a business key-note speaker depending on the format.

ADDITIONAL EVENTS INFORMATION

• The SUC has been conducting events for its hostel students such as a trip to Iceland Aqua Park.
• Skyline students have been involved in community events such as celebration of the World Water Day through so-called "Green Walk".
• One of the goals of the university is to organize an international trip where a group of students will be able to spend a few days in another country for educational and entertainment purposes.
• Skyline students have ample opportunities and are strongly encouraged to participate in various intercollegiate events organized by other universities in the region.
