Q. ACCREDITATION OF THE UNIVERSITY
A. Both our MBA and BBA programs are fully approved and accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR), UAE.
Q. CURRICULUM
A. As per the Ministry of Higher Education, the institution follows an American curriculum.
Q. HOW DOES THIS CREDIT SYSTEM WORKS?
A. Each subject = 3 credits
Total credits required for graduation
Bachelor of Business Administration - 120 credits (40 subjects)
Master of Business Administration - 36 credits (12 subjects)
Q. HOW MANY CAMPUSES DOES THE INSTITUTION HAVE?
A. One in Sharjah.
Q. CURRENT STUDENT BASE IN THE INSTITUTION
A. Over 800 students.
Q. HOW MANY ARE OVERSEAS STUDENTS?
A. Approximately 20% of the student strength.
Q. ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES FOR THE FOREIGN STUDENTS?
A. Students have to fill the Hostel accommodation form upon they are provided accommodation.
Q. IS IT IN-CAMPUS OR OFF-CAMPUS OF THE INSTITUTION?
A. In-house hostel will be ready to be occupied shortly. Currently off-campus.
Q. VISA PROCESS
A. Upon submission of the required documents, initial fee, the student visa can be processed within 5-6 working days. This visa is valid for 3 years and will be renewed upon reaching the expiry date.
Q. WHETHER STUDENT CAN WORK ON THIS VISA
A. The University issues NOC (No Objection Certificate) upon which the student is allowed to work on this visa on part-time basis. Incase the student is able to get a permanent job in an Organization, the student / his organization needs to get it transferred to a work permit.
Q. JOB PROSPECTS
A. The UAE is a land of opportunities. It is one of the world's fastest growing countries and jobs are available in almost all the growing sectors of the economy.
Q. HOW CAN THE UNIVERSITY HELP IN GETTING A JOB?
A. The University College has a dedicated placement cell, which works throughout the year and tries to arrange job opportunities for its graduates. The College, over its existence in UAE for 20 year has established a lot of contacts with various industries such as Airlines, Hotel, Travel and Cargo Companies, Airport, Oil companies, Trading Houses, Information Technology Companies, Commercial Companies, Law firms, Insurance firms, manufacturing firms etc. Job placements are not guaranteed, however, the University College puts strong efforts to secure jobs for its graduates.
Q. DRIVING LICENSE
A. The students are allowed to enroll themselves to driving classes in the UAE. The University College issues a NOC to the traffic department for this purpose. Normally it takes about two months to get a license (provided there are no repeat tests).
Q. TRANSFER TO UNIVERSITIES IN OTHER COUNTRIES
A. The University College has articulation agreements with major universities in USA, Canada, Australia, UK and Ireland. The student needs to get in touch with Student Services Department to initiate this transfer. The student needs to complete at least two semesters with Skyline to enable such a transfer.
Q. MEDIUM OF TEACHING
A. The medium of teaching in the University College is English.
Q. NATIONALITY OF TEACHERS
A. As per the Ministry of Higher Education regulations the University College is required to maintain diversity in faculty nationalities as well. The faculty comes from different countries and backgrounds but are all Ph. D or Doctorate level holders to teach in the main programs.
Q. IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FEE STRUCTURE OF LOCALS AND NON LOCALS
A. The locals and non locals are served the same fee structures.
