Q. Can I bring my own furniture?
A. No. Each room is furnished with all the necessary items.
Q. Can I stay in my room during end-of-session breaks?
A. You can remain in the hostel between sessions provided you have paid for the extra weeks as well as having paid for the following session's hostel fees.
You may not stay in the hostel over the summer break unless you are enrolled for the summer classes.
Q. Can I bring my fridge?
A. No. we are providing small fridges in the rooms.
Q. What I should pack and bring to the hostel?
A. Alarm clock, bed sheets, pillows, hangers, multi-plug, toiletries, extension cords, small table lamps, laundry detergent, telephone charger, kitchen utensils, printing papers, groceries.
Space in the rooms is limited so please bring only the essentials.
Q. Is there catering services in the hostel or do I have to cook my own food?
A. There is provision for self cooking. Students will have to buy the required groceries. Also we are providing canteen facilities.
Q. Can I bring my pet?
A. Pets of any kind are not allowed.
Q. Can I smoke in the Hostel?
A. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the rooms. There will be separate smoking area and those who want to smoke may go there for the same.
Q. Do the Residences have a prayer room?
A. Yes. There is a prayer room in the Hostel.
Q. What if I have a car?
A. Yes, you can bring your car. There are ample parking spaces for cars in the parking lots of the Residences.
Q. What if I am having a trouble getting on with my room mate?
A. The Hostel Supervisor should be notified. The Hostel Supervisor will help you arrive at a suitable solution to the problem.
Q. What is the scope of the cleaning services?
A. Generally the cleaners will clean the bathrooms, kitchen, balconies and the common areas. The cleaners will only sweep/vacuum the floors of the bedrooms. You will be responsible for keeping your bedroom clean and tidy. You are also responsible for washing your own dishes and doing your own laundry.
The Hostel Supervisor will closely monitor the cleaning service. If you have a comment or complaint about the cleaning provided please speak with the Residence Supervisor.
